Terms of Service

By creating or using a Busted Minds Account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.

You must be at least 13, or the higher minimum age required in your country without guardian authorization, and legally capable of entering this agreement.

• Provide accurate information and keep your email account, password, Google account, and devices secure.
• Do not share, sell, transfer, automate, impersonate, or create accounts to evade restrictions or abuse a connected service.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• You remain responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Your central account may authenticate you to services such as Busted Minds Chess and Busted Minds AI. A connected service receives only the identity permissions shown during authorization and creates its own application session.

Each connected service may have additional product terms governing its content, features, acceptable use, data, competitions, or other activity. Product access can be restricted independently without necessarily deleting the central account.

• Do not probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, scrape, reverse engineer contrary to law, or interfere with authentication and authorization systems.
• Do not use the service for fraud, phishing, spam, malware, unlawful conduct, or infringement of another person’s rights.
• Do not manipulate identifiers, authorization requests, sessions, roles, or security controls.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google’s terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of Google services. Our infrastructure providers, including Supabase, Vercel, and Resend, may process information as necessary to operate authentication, hosting, storage, and email delivery.

We are not responsible for an independent third-party service outside our control, but we remain responsible for our own handling of account information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Busted Minds Account is provided as a developing service. We may change, rate-limit, suspend, or discontinue features for security, maintenance, legal, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

You may stop using the account and request deletion. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security risk, legal obligations, or discontinuation. Some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free authentication. Nothing excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Busted Minds and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from the free account service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount paid for the relevant account service in the prior 12 months or USD 50.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will receive a new effective date and, where practical, additional notice. Mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply.
